The field

What the work is.

A startup placement puts you next to a founder, a chief of staff or an early operator, at a company past survival and before bureaucracy, where one person is still visible.

We place students in chief-of-staff and founder's-office work, growth and go-to-market, product and engineering at early teams, and operations inside the first business systems. Every seat is arranged after a call about what you can already carry and what you want to learn.

You write the first version of a process, ship the feature that closes a deal, sit in on a board call, and leave with a reference from a founder and a working sense of how a company grows.

You won't sit through a graduate scheme in startup clothing. The placement is built around something you own, a launch, a system or a hire, scoped so you can finish it and hand it off in the time you have.

Who we place

What a founder asks of you.

i.
A tolerance for the undefined. The job description will change in week two. You're fine with that.
ii.
A record of finishing. A project, a club, a business, anything you took to the end instead of the halfway point.
iii.
A habit of reaching out. You send the email, make the call, ask the question, without being told to.
iv.
A reason to be in Asia. Some curiosity about how companies get built here, beyond the line on your CV.
A note on fit

No particular degree. What matters is initiative and staying power.

We find that out on a call. We don't ask for a transcript.

The work

The kinds of work.

Every seat is arranged after the call. These are the shapes the work usually takes, not open positions.

Where

By city.

Hong Kong

HK · 香港

Hong Kong has a smaller, sharper startup scene: fintech, climate, B2B software, often founded by people who raised in Singapore and build between the two.

Shanghai

SH · 上海

Shanghai is consumer and B2B product companies moving fast. Good if you want to see a company at full pace and can keep up.

Singapore

SG · 新加坡

Singapore is the startup capital of Southeast Asia, and where many of the region's larger companies and their investors are based.

Bangkok

BKK · กรุงเทพฯ

Bangkok is a younger ecosystem where founders do more themselves. An intern's surface area is wide.
