Program fees,
in plain numbers.

Here's what a placement costs by city and duration, what the fee covers, and how it's paid. The number on your offer is the number you pay — there are no add-ons after the fact.

Included

Covered by the fee

  • Placement sourcing and matching. The introductory call, the search across our network, and the introduction to the host.
  • Housing referral. We vet providers in each city and handle the introduction. You sign your own lease.
  • Visa documentation support. Letters from the host, guidance on the application, and a checklist by country.
  • On-the-ground onboarding. First-week orientation in the placement city — SIM, transit, opening the bank account if needed.
  • A point of contact for the duration. Someone to call when something needs sorting.
  • Access to the alumni network. After your placement ends.
Not included

You arrange separately

  • International flights to and from the placement city.
  • Rent and living expenses. Housing is referred; the rent itself is paid by you to the provider.
  • Food and local transport. Daily life in the city.
  • Government visa fees and consular charges. Set by the country, paid directly.
  • Health, travel, and liability insurance for the full duration of the placement.
  • Any equipment the host requires you to provide.

How it's paid.

Payment structure

A deposit, then the balance.

Every offer is structured the same way: a deposit confirms your seat, and the balance is due before the placement begins. The exact amounts and deadlines are written into your offer.

Your price is locked the moment your deposit clears. Nothing changes after that — no fuel surcharges, no late-stage add-ons, no currency adjustments.

Refund windows

If plans change.

  • More than 60 days before start. Full refund of the balance. Deposit is non-refundable.
  • 30 to 60 days before start. Half the balance refundable. Deposit non-refundable.
  • Less than 30 days, or after placement begins. No refund.

A few questions that come up.

Does the fee include a stipend from the host?

No. Most placements in our network are unpaid — the work itself is the value. A small number of hosts offer a stipend or per-diem; when they do, it's noted in your offer.

Do you accept financial aid, university funding, or scholarships?

We don't run a scholarship program of our own. Several US and UK universities reimburse summer programmes through their global education offices — we're happy to provide the paperwork they ask for. Check with your school first.

When does the price get locked in?

When your deposit clears. From that moment, the figure on your offer is the figure you pay.

Can I pay in installments after the deposit?

The standard structure is deposit plus balance. If you need an installment plan, mention it on the call — we can usually accommodate it for cohort seats booked four or more months out.

What happens in the rare case that my visa is denied?

If your visa is denied after you've applied in good faith with the materials we provided, we treat it as a cancellation outside the 60-day window: the balance is refunded in full and the deposit is non-refundable. If the denial happens because the application wasn't submitted on time, or the host's letter wasn't used as instructed, the standard refund tiers apply instead.
