How we handle your information.
Asia Internships is a private placement office. We keep this short and honest, because the people who fill out our forms are trusting us with their family's details. Here is exactly what happens to that information.
What we collect
When you use the matcher or submit the intake form, we receive:
- Your name, email address, role (parent, student, educator, other), and — if you provide it — your phone number.
- The selections you made in the matcher (field, city, duration) so we can prepare a relevant brief.
- Your résumé or CV, if you upload one when requesting a bespoke search. We accept PDF, DOC, DOCX, MD, and TEX files.
- Optional notes about timing or anything else you choose to share.
- Standard web analytics: the page you visited, approximate location, browser type, and whether you arrived from an advertisement or referral link. We do not collect IP addresses to any greater precision than country.
What we do with it
- Reply to your inquiry within five business days, by hand, from a real person on our team.
- Prepare a tailored brief and arrange an introductory call.
- Build and curate our next placement cohort. Your information is reviewed only by members of the placement office.
- Improve the matcher and the site itself by reviewing aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information. Not to marketers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not share your information with host companies or partners until you have explicitly approved a specific placement conversation.
- We do not enrol you in a marketing drip sequence. The only emails you receive from us are the ones written for your inquiry.
Who sees what
Three third-party services touch this data, each for a single, narrow purpose:
- Formsubmit.co — delivers your form submission, including any résumé you upload, to our office inbox. Their privacy policy is available at formsubmit.co/privacy.
- Humblytics — privacy-respecting analytics. They do not use cookies or store personal identifiers. humblytics.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typography on this site. No personal data is sent.
Cookies and storage
This site uses one small piece of session storage to remember whether you have already opened the matcher's archetype shortlist, so we do not ask twice in the same visit. It is cleared when you close your browser. We do not use tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you exactly what information we hold on you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information entirely.
- Stop contacting you.
Write to info@asiainternships.com and we will respond within seven days.
Age
The placement programme is for university-age students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If you believe we have received information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.
Where we operate
Asia Internships is a service operated by T8 Labs Limited, a company registered in the British Virgin Islands, with day-to-day operations based in Bangkok, Thailand. Personal information processed in Thailand is handled in accordance with the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). The rights described above — to access, correct, delete, or withdraw your information — apply regardless of where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, contact recent applicants directly. The previous version of this policy is available on request.
